MBC’s “Bouquet” may be coming to an end

It has been reported that MBC’s “Bouquet” may be on the chopping block.

‘Banquet’ started out as a youth-oriented variety program with a star-studded cast of girl groups. This past February, the show changed its gears to target a wider audience with a family variety theme. ‘Bouquet’ even changed the slogan, “From people in their 10’s to 60’s, whether boy, girl, old, or young, let’s become nation idols that encompasses all generations.”
However, even with the new transformation, the program couldn’t escape the trap of low ratings, which is why MBC is now in talks of canceling the show.
An official from MBC’s Entertainment Bureau explained, “We didn’t decide to cancel the show right away. Of our overall assessment, the cancellation of ‘Bouquet’ just happened to be a topic of discussion and it is currently under review.”
Meanwhile, it looks like MBC’s “Starry Night Memories” may also come to an early end. There’s speculation that the following program will be a liberal arts program rather than an entertainment program.
