Fans are protesting the unfairness of SBS’s ’Inkigayo‘ once they discovered that Jay Park’s name was not included in the ‘Take 7‘ list.
On May 6th, Jay Park tweeted,
“Everyone, do not get mad at the broadcast station, don’t stress about rankings, just listen to my song and watch my performances. Don’t worry about other things.”Currently, the ‘Inkigayo’ homepage is taking votes for the ‘Take 7′ contestants, all of whom have a chance to win the ‘mutizen’ song award. However, fans noted that both Jay’s name and his song were not included. Though there is no way to confirm if Jay Park has been included in the ‘Take 7′ list originally, his name was also missing under artists who have recently released albums.
The mysterious omission caused many to flood the ‘Inkigayo’ message board and phone lines with their complaints. Consequently on May 6th, SidusHQ released a statement on Jay Park’s official fan cafe, which reads:
“Currently a problem is stirring because many people have contacted the broadcast station and their producers’ personal cellphones regarding Jay Park and the Take 7… The calls have been so severe that the producers are unable to work and so the station brought up the problem to the company. [If this continues] this may cause problems with Jay’s broadcast appearance. We ask that you refrain from calling the broadcast station and the producers in order for us to solve this problem smoothly.“But fans have continued to protest, saying, “How is it that only Jaebum’s name is missing?” “I complained because his name was not included, why is this affecting his appearance on the show?” “If he was excluded by mistake, wouldn’t it be right to quickly make the change?” and “Why are their no changes or official statements from ‘Inkigayo’?”
Stay tuned for updates.
