Big Bang tops the Oricon charts

Big Bang’s new album “BIGBANG 2″ was released in Japan on May 11th and has already sold 23,993 copies on it’s first day, which propelled them to top the Oricon Daily album chart.

Their previous album “BIGBANG” was released back in August of 2009 and sold 79,000 copies, which helped them rank 3rd on the Oricon Weekly album ranking chart.
Big Bang are off to a great start and everyone’s attention will be to see if they can keep it up and rank 1st on next week’s Oricon Weekly album ranking chart.
This latest album includes a total of 10 tracks including their hit single “Tell Me Goodbye” (released on June 2010 and sold 49,000 copies) and “BEAUTIFUL HANGOVER” (released on August selling 39,000 copies).
Congratulations to Big Bang on this accomplishment.
