ZE:A’s Kwanghee reveals that he’s not that popular in Japan

On the most recent episode of “Strong Heart“, ZE:A’s Kwanghee shared an interesting story about his popularity levels in Korea and Japan.

Kwanghee began by explaining what’s changed since he’s become more well-known in Korea because of his appearances on variety shows. He stated, “During dances, I’m more towards the center, and I have my own room at the dorm.”
Despite his popularity in Korea however, Kwanghee revealed that he’s not so popular in Japan., “When I was on a Korean plane flying towards Japan, I was really popular amongst the flight attendants. The moment I landed in Japan, I saw that the amount of fans I had shrunk so much that I thought it was a hidden camera show.”
Kwanghee added, “I don’t think Japanese people like idols who’ve had a lot of plastic surgery or talk a lot. I almost got depression. Even when I introduced myself in Japanese as ‘the king of laughter Kwanghee,’ the response was completely cold in Japan.”
